Alabama’s largest state park boasts 9,940 acres of pine and hardwood forests that offer prime mountain biking trails, camping, picnicking, boating, and swimming. Visitors also will find a petting zoo, a BMX bike track, and horseback riding facilities. The park is home to the Alabama Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. It lies minutes south of downtown Birmingham.
